Wouldn\u2019t it be better if they could be using that time and energy helping your business grow?\u00a0 That\u2019s why\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ftc.gov\/news-events\/press-releases\/2016\/01\/ftc-announces-significant-enhancements-identitytheftgov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">an announcement today from the Federal Trade Commission<\/a>\u00a0is a big deal, and a good deal, for your business.<\/p>\n<p>The FTC has added new features to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.identitytheft.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IdentityTheft.gov<\/a>, the government\u2019s one-stop resource for reporting and recovering from identity theft. When people use the website to report identity theft, they\u2019ll get help including a free, interactive personal recovery plan that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>walks them through each recovery step;<\/li>\n<li>tracks their recovery progress and adapts to their changing situation; and<\/li>\n<li>pre-fills letters and forms they need to help resolve the identity theft with credit bureaus, businesses, debt collectors, and the IRS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The entire website is available in Spanish, too, at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.robodeidentidad.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RobodeIdentidad.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>What can your business do to help? Spread the news about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.identitytheft.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IdentityTheft.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tell employees about IdentityTheft.gov<\/strong>. Perhaps send a company-wide email with the short video below about the site.
